Caris Healthcare is a regional hospice headquarter in
Knoxville, TN.
In 2003 Caris
was just opening their doors and needed a way to connect
the three computers (that was the company at that time)
and a solution that was scalable and could accommodate
the planned growth and multiple locations. Some of the
objectives Caris needed to accomplish were:

Establish a Network, Intranet and Extranet
- Collaborate throughout Multiple Locations

Provide Employee Training and Orientation

Company wide Calendar

Repository for Meeting Minutes and Files
Caris utilizes
SharePoint as their server, storing all pertinent files
in online Document,
Image and Form Libraries. This has
made it easy for them to collaborate across multiple
locations. Caris has also taken advantage of this secure
online environment to provide orientation and training
to their employees. Using audio/visual presentations for
training has saved and enormous amount of time and
energy.
Caris makes
use of SharePoint's Meeting Workspace to document and
catalog board meeting agendas, minutes, files and
tasks.
They are also using SharePoint Surveys as a convenient
way to collect Medicare required information from their
patients. |
